This man, who declined to answer any of my questions whatsoever, I had seen for a few days camping out around the same park. He was quite vigilant for me and I finally was able to snap this picture just around sun set.

Homelessness can be all around us and yet we still don't have a clue. Here under a bike path bridge I was able to catch a unsuspecting walker pass right by what some would call a home.

Here less then one hundred yards from a public skate park a bed like this was the only form of home for many homeless throughout Corvallis.
Again less then a block away from that very same park I was able to catch a make shift house used as shelter and to store any objects he might have possessed.
At that very same park the evidence of homelessness was clearly evident.

Here at this local park in Corvallis I caught this very man rummaging waste areas for cans and anything he found worth in. Less then ten yards away was church and nearly twenty children at play. all exposed and even affected by homelessness.

Photo Critique

In this photo it truly shows that practice and always being prepared can really pay off. here it definitely was a candid photo but the photographer had the settings right and the camera ready.

Neighborhood Photo Shoot

And for my overall shot showing my neighborhood I chose the OSU Crew team practicing on the Willamette River.

Hard at work is Joel McKnight of Corvallis. He lives on 10th street and enjoys his job of keeping them cleared off in front of this local shop.

Neighborhood Photo Shoot

Here you can see Katie Cartright of Corvallis heading down the steps of the Benton County Courthouse.

Photo Critique

The photo I chose to look at this week helps show how having fun with your subjects can really help loosen them up. Also it shows how camera angles can help do it all in the right occasions.

Quiz Photo

Amanda is caught here reading outside of the normal seating area. She said it helps her relax more and she feels more comfortable.

Photo Critique Dos

This week we focused on a lot of portrait taking and mugshots. I was lucky enough to find a good depiction of a mushot. The only catch is it was croped maybe a little too close. At the same time t adds emotion by providing more detail of the look of strength in his face.

Todays Protest

In today's world protest is largely tolerated in many countries across the world. I thought this picture was able to capture how it has been growing in popularity even with the younger generations.

My First Blog Post

I am in photo journalism because I hope to change my major to journalism in my later years of school.

Taking photos Wednesday was not too bad because I actually didn't take very many pictures.
